Jun. 2--Standard Chartered Nakornthon Bank has raised its retail lending rate by one-quarter of a percentage point, mirroring an earlier increase in long-term deposit rates.
The bank last week increased its minimum retail rate (MRR) on loans to 6.95 percent from 6.7 percent. Earlier this month, it raised its two- and three-year fixed deposit rates by a full point to 2.8-3 percent, among the highest in the banking system and aimed at raising liquidity to fuel loan growth.
