Google price target raised again
The Internet search engine's rapid expansion of service offerings should help propel its stock price to $300, said Piper Jaffray. The brokerage's previous price target was $275. Over the last several months, Google has rolled out additional services to lure surfers to its Web engine, including maps, news and most recently a home page. Shares rose 4% to 277.27.
AMD rolls out its dual-core chip
Advanced Micro Devices launched its next-generation PC chip, which features two processors on one piece of silicon. AMD has already rolled out dual-core chips for servers and workstations. The launch comes on the heels of rival Intel's unveiling of its own dual-core chips for mainstream computing, the Pentium D chips. AMD rose 1% to 16.40. Intel fell 1.5% to 26.96.
