Ryanair yearly profit soars 30%
The Irish budget airline logged a $330.7 mil profit, up from $254.6 mil in the year-ago period and topping views of $305 mil. Revenue rose 25.7% to $1.66 bil. Ryanair was upbeat about the coming year, boosting its traffic forecast from 34 mil to 35 mil. Analysts credit Ryanair's planning ahead by buying 75% of its winter fuel at $47/barrel. Shares rose 3% to 45.69.
