Jun. 1--The three private cellular operators say the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is violating the Constitution and the Telecom Business Act with its plan to issue licences to state-controlled TOT Corporation and CAT Telecom.
If the NTC decides to do so, it must also give them similar licences, they said.
"We (AIS, DTAC and TA Orange) agree that the issuance of licences to the two state agencies will not help the industry move away from its previous domination by stated-owned monopolies," said Sigve Brekke, the co-chief executive of DTAC.
