Jun. 1--Central Pattana Plc, the listed property development arm of the Central Group, plans to spend between 3.5 billion and four billion baht to build a new shopping complex on Chaeng Watthana Road.

Construction on a 20-rai site opposite the Software Park complex is expected to begin by the end of this year with completion in the second quarter of 2007. It will contain retail space of 100,000 square metres, according to Naris Cheyklin, an executive vice-predent of the country's largest commercial property business.
