Jun. 1--Shares of the investment bank Phatra Securities yesterday closed at their 29.50-baht low, off 4.82 percent from the initial public offering price of 31 baht.
The stock opened the day at 31.50 baht and rose to a high of 32.50 before giving ground on poor market sentiment. Total trade for the day was 733.88 million baht.
Analysts said the weak debut was unsurprising given the generally poor sentiment of the markets. The Stock Exchange of Thailand index yesterday fell 0.10 percent to close at 667.55 points on investor concerns over slowing economic growth and rising fuel prices.
