VENICE -- Greyhound Lines Inc. will end stops next month in Venice, Arcadia and 31 more Florida cities as part of a nationwide route consolidation.
Greyhound says it picks up too few passengers in Venice and the other cities to make the stops worthwhile. But those who do use the service have found it invaluable, and will be sorry to see it end June 21.
"I believe it's a nice service. I think it's worth it," said Luca Cassani, a front desk clerk at the Best Western Ambassador on Commercial Court, near Interstate 75 in Venice.
