The Economy:

According to a study by local consultancy Trends Consulting, in Q1 2005 personal computer (PC) sales rose by 50% compared to the same quarter of 2004 to a total of 208,436 units. Leading the market were US giants Hewlett-Packard and IBM and local brand Air Computers (with a total of 36.9% of the overall PC market between them).

According to national carmaker's association Adefa, car production in April fell by 1.3% month-on-month and rose 34.3% year-on-year. In April local auto sales fell 3.4% m-o-m and rose 35.7% y-o-y. During the month the industry sold 127,940 units. Adefa said that even if sales fall ...
