Pursuing a doctorate is a complex decision, especially for women. To help women sort their plans and support them on the doctoral path, Dr. Kenya Ayers, vice provost and associate VP for academic affairs at Kettering University in Flint MI, founded The Choice Network.
In 2002 women earned 45% of all doctorates awarded in the United States and more than half of doctorates going to US citizens. Still they can't easily find needed information or a safe place to talk about it.
