A former University of Nevada Reno VP is suing the school, its president and two others. Dr. Linda Brinkley filed suit after losing her position as VP of research and dean of the graduate school last fall and being reassigned to faculty.

The suit seeks more than $10,000 for each of eight claims that include defamation, breach of contract and failure to deal in good faith. She claims the school failed to adequately fund her office, resulting in an operating cost of $1.5 million in indirect costs.
