Harvard did not discriminate against a black assistant librarian who alleged that she was passed up for 16 promotions and was told she was just a "pretty girl" who dressed too sexy to get ahead, according to a ruling by a federal jury.
Desiree Goodwin, 40, a Cornell graduate with two master's degrees, kept her poise as the all-white jury of one woman and five men delivered its verdict. "At least I stood up for myself," she said.
