What is neo-paganism?

An umbrella term that covers a variety of "re-created" ancient religious traditions, most of which have modern histories dating back to the mid-20th century. At a basic level, most neo-pagans believe in both a goddess and a god, place a high value on nature and celebrate myths that relate the cycle of the seasons to the phases of human life. Some groups emphasize magical practices. The great majority affirm the power and responsibility of free will.
