May 9--The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) said it missed the May 1 deadline set by the government to register as a public company because of some complicated legal procedures, but insisted it would definitely list on the stock market by the end of this year.
Egat governor Kraisi Karnasuta said the state enterprise ran into snags while trying to register due to the complicated registration procedures and screening process involving many committees.
