The RTL Group, part of the Bertelsmann media empire, is set to buy a 49 per cent share of Ren TV, the Russian TV channel, for 100 million.
The TV provider, which had a turnover of 77 million in 2004, has a 7.5 per cent share of the Russian television advertising market and is available in 725 regions.
