Polymer Group Inc., back on firmer financial footing, could be back in play.

A sale of the specialty textile maker, whose products include materials used in disposable diapers, is among the options that management is exploring in light of the steadily improving health of the North Charleston-based company.

Polymer Group announced this week that its board has hired Wall Street advisory firm J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. to review "strategic alternatives" that would benefit shareholders.

The potential alternatives include either a sale or a financial restructuring. Polymer Group said it expects to complete the review …
