May 5--Foreign chambers of commerce in Thailand have requested that the Board of Investment (BoI) grant incentive packages to health-care and education businesses.

At a meeting between the BoI and the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) yesterday, Peter Haren, the JFCCT chairman, requested that the BoI classify service sectors, in particular health care and education, under the same category as manufacturing sectors for the purpose of granting investment incentives.
