Investments from Japan set to increase.

May 2--The Board of Investment estimates that the value of investment applications from Japanese businesses will increase by about 50 percent to 150 billion baht this year from 102 billion last year, according to Industry Minister Watana Muangsook.
The Japan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) told BoI and Industry Ministry officials at a meeting recently that Japanese investors were looking to increase their commitments in Thailand due to the country's attractive promotional incentives and political stability as well as its overall friendly environment compared to other countries, Mr Watana said.
