One does not have to look far to observe that we live in rapidly changing times. Throughout the world, change is an unstoppable tide that reshapes the political, economical, social and environmental landscape.
One such change is urbanisation. The tide, in this case, is the migration of people all over the world to cities and urban regions. In 1950, two-thirds of the world's population lived in the countryside. By 2050, two-thirds will live in cities.
