Former University of Alabama head women's basketball coach Jeannie Milling has filed suit against the school, claiming she was fired last year because of her gender and her reporting of two players' claims of sexual harassment by a male assistant coach.
When the 17-year veteran was fired with one year left on her contract, AD Watson Brown cited three consecutive losing seasons as the major factor. Milling contends it was due to discrimination and retaliation for trying to get action on the sexual harassment allegations.
