Ernie Chaidez had 30 assists to lead Rancho past host Desert Pines 25-22, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22 Tuesday in high school volleyball.

Derrick Nolasco had 22 kills for the Rams.

Desert Pines' Greg Longoria had 26 assists, and teammate Jason West had 16 kills and nine blocks.
