COTTAGEVILLE-History comes alive in Daphne Stieglitz's classroom, even when it's not part of the curriculum.
Stieglitz, a teacher at Cottageville Elementary, teaches in the same classroom where her grandparents, father and brother learned their lessons. Her daughter attends class in a room across the hall.
While the building is special to Stieglitz, she is leading the charge to replace the 67-year-old school, the oldest of the county's seven elementary schools.
