Medical group to maintain relationships with Blue Cross patients.

Apr. 22--The contract dispute between N.C. Baptist Hospital and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has some Forsyth County patients worried. Now, one physician practice is trying to allay those fears.

The Wake Forest University Physicians group is telling its Blue Cross patients that the insurance company will cover them even if Baptist Hospital breaks its ties with Blue Cross on June 4.

Blue Cross maintains separate reimbursement agreements with the hospital and Wake Forest University Physicians, Peter Hoffman, the group's medical director, said yesterday.
