The London Business School (LBS) library goes to great lengths to make its information accessible. It even has a "tube map" on its website of its key electronic resources, laid out by subject: company data, financial markets, management, macroeconomic statistics, and so on.

There's a good reason for this attention to design detail - the library has some very demanding users. It is used as a resource by present LBS faculty and staff, as well as former students, now making their way in the business world. And LBS alumni are a breed apart, according to Helen Edwards (pictured right), head of information systems at LBS.
