Subject librarians choosing voluntary redundancy appear to have enabled the University Wales Bangor (UWB) to achieve its proposed [pounds sterling]300,000 library savings.
A UWB Executive restructuring proposal released earlier this year described the support that subject librarians bring to staff and students as "hard to justify" and claimed they do not "deliver value for money".
