The next issue of the Journal of the Community Development Society will be my first since being appointed Editor by the Board of the Community Development Society. This summer you will receive Volume 33, No 1, which will be a special issue on "Community Development Theory for Practitioners", with Ron Hustedde as the guest editor. Over the next few years I will build on the strong foundation established by Al Luloff to expand the journal in a number of ways that I hope will meet the needs of a growing constituency of people interested in community development.
