The University of Buffalo may spend an additional $12 million on medical faculty due to an arbitrator's decision in a salary bias case filed by a female doctor.

Dr. Linda Brodsky sued UB in federal court, saying that she is paid far less than her male colleagues in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Clinical faculty members like Brodsky currently have no minimum salary.
