Apr. 6--Members of the Senate banking and finance committee yesterday urged the Stock Exchange of Thailand to finalise the question of whether Thai Beverages Plc is to be listed on the market.

The SET board last month postponed a meeting to consider the issue following mass protests by religious and social activist groups opposed to the company's listing on the market.

Thai Beverages, a holding company owned by billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi and the producer of Chang Beer and Mekhong rum, is seeking to list on the SET to raise funds for international expansion. The listing is projected to be the largest in SET ...
