Autodesk ran up to a new high the week ended Dec. 24 before pulling back over the next five weeks to start the left side of a base. It fell as much as 33% from the left peak to the bottom of the base. Volume was heavy the week of the low point, but the stock closed in the upper half of that week's range, a sign of support. Shares regained 10% the following week and have been shaping the base's bottom the past two months.
