Nasdaq stocks fell in early trade, but reversed course in the last hours of Monday's session to close higher. But volume shrank 15%. The composite gained 0.3% to get near its 200-day moving average, which it breached Friday. The tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 rose 0.5%.
Radiation Therapy Services surged 1.90 to a new high of 25.90, breaking out of a three-month base on its second-heaviest day of trading since coming public last June. Shares have risen since March 31, when the radiation treatment provider said it's taking a majority stake in a West Virginia radiation therapy treatment center.
CFC International rose 1.67, or 8%, to 23.92 on quadruple normal turnover, its fourth straight up session. The specialty chemicals maker grew sales at least 16% the past four quarters, ending two quarters of declining revenue.
Micros Systems gained 2.42 to 38.70, just shy of an all-time high, on twice usual volume. The point-of-sale systems maker boasts the highest Earnings Per Share Rating in its 35-stock Computer-Integrated Systems group. The group ranked No. 31 ...
