FDA seeks breast-implant data
Regulators asked Inamed, the surgical and medical device firm, to provide more information regarding the safety of its silicon-gel breast implants. Inamed already markets the next-generation implants internationally, but is seeking approval for their use in the U.S. Silicon breast implants have been banned in the U.S. since '92 after multiple cases of medical problems were tied to the devices. Inamed fell 3.5% to 68.17.
