Apr. 4--A new interconnection regime for telecoms operators scheduled to be put into force this year may go back to square one now that the National Telecommunications Commission says it plans to hire a foreign consultant to prepare a new draft on prices for interconnection services of the entire telecom industry of the country.
NTC chairman Choochart Promprasit said currently the NTC working groups were drafting the terms of reference (TOR) for employing a firm to prepare the interconnection regime for the industry similar to foreign firm which was hired to prepare a draft on licensing.
