The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation reached approximately 25,000 students in 2004 by providing instruments to music programs in schools and communities across the country.
In 2004, the organization provided $750,000 worth of new and refurbished instruments and instrument repairs to 116 music programs in the United States. The organization is supported by individual donations, as well as corporate sponsors such as McDonald's, Guitar Center and Wells Fargo.
