TMB penalised in Thaioil IPO.
Apr. 2--The Securities and Exchange Commission has suspended Thai Military Bank from serving as a securities sales agent for one year stemming from irregularities during last year's Thai Oil initial public offering.
The SEC said TMB failed to ensure that staff properly managed public subscriptions as stipulated in the prospectus for the Oct 7 Thaioil offering, the largest IPO in market history.
Demand for the offering was massive, with investors oversubscribing 14 times the 32.5 billion baht worth of shares offered.
