Apr. 1--The Auditor-General's Office has questioned plans by the Tambon Administration Organisation to spend some five million baht per village to install new computer systems to manage local taxes.
Audit commissioner Lt Gen Somchai Virunhaphol said the agency questioned whether the programme was cost-effective or necessary.
"Consider the cost of installing this system in 7,000 villages nationwide at five million baht each," he said.
