WHAT WE KNOW The offense will be much improved, thanks to the return of LF Luis Gonzalez (elbow) and the additions of 3B Troy Glaus and RF Shawn Green. Those three give the club a solid middle of the order, something it has lacked for a couple of years. SS Royce Clayton has impressed manager Bob Melvin with his feel for hitting in the No. 2 spot, and the latter half of the order could be strong with 1B Chad Tracy and CF Jose Cruz anchoring it.
