On Thursday, January 20, a man entered the Ayesh Food Market in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, pulled a knife, and yelled, "Give me the money or I'll kill you," reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Edward Travis, Jr., the knife-wielding robber, threatened the store's owner with a four-inch steak knife. As the store's owner evaded Travis, a cashier grabbed a gun kept in the store and interceded.
Travis then chased the cashier and trapped him in the corner of the store. Left without any way to resolve the situation except through deadly force, the cashier shot Travis three times, killing him.
