The number of students who declined to identify their race or ethnicity doubled between 1991 and 2001--from roughly 468,000 to 938,000--making the total number of unidentified students greater than the total number of Asian-American students. We wouldn't blame members of the purportedly privileged races (including Asians, already "overrepresented" on many campuses) ...
