Our Feb. 14 story on synthetic diamonds prompted readers to share their loyalty to the real thing. Wrote one, "A natural diamond is a miracle of nature... a man-made diamond is like an artificial rose." Opined another, "Like champagne or cognac, a diamond is, by definition, a luxury item."
