Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company announces Version 2 for the KX-TDA 100/200 Digital Hybrid IP-PBX phone systems, adding several new hardware and feature enhancements. Now available is the new KX-NT136 IP Proprietary Telephone (based on Panasonic's KX-T7636) with a 6-line back-lit display, 24 CO keys, half duplex speakerphone, two Ethernet connections (for PC and LAN connection) and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) compliance. KX-TDA 100 supports 64 IP telephones via four 16-port IP Extension Gateway Cards (a new Version 2 card option), while KX- TDA 200 handles 128 IP telephones using eight 16-port cards.
A new 16-channel IP Trunk Gateway card enables connection of multiple KX- TDA 100/200 PBXs over a data network, compressing and packetizing voice and fax communication for transmission over the TCP/IP network and eliminating long distance charges.
