David Spade has been cracking us up on TV for years on Saturday Night Live and Just Shoot Me--and also in funny flicks such as Tommy Boy and Joe Dirt. Now the 40-year-old is back on the small screen this season as C.J. on 8 Simple Rules. As it turns out, David has his own set of simple rules--the first one being never take your shirt off on camera.
HIS FUNNY-GUY FORAY. "I had always thought I was really smart. But then when I left high school, I barely got into the community college across the road. So I started going to comedy nights because all of my friends went away to college and I was bored. But when I finally started to do standup, I actually did okay and got the bug."
MUSIC TO HIS EARS. "What attracts me to a woman--beyond the basics, like the eyes, the ass, and her smile--is her voice. I'm a voice guy. I can't describe what it sounds like, but it's as unique as a fingerprint."
