The springtime L+i Show is back at the NEC in Birmingham. But while the show has traditionally been seen as a key event for public and school librarians, the organisers are going out of their way to attract more academic and workplace librarians.
On the show floor, visitors will find a Workplace Association showcase area, which is described as "a practical forum to meet with relevant associations, discuss membership, network and share best practice". Associations involved are the Association of Media Librarians (AUKML), British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL), Circle of State Librarians, Cilip's Industrial and Commercial Libraries Group (ICLG) and SLA Europe.
A spokesperson for the show said: "The importance of librarians and information professionals within the workplace has been highlighted as the complexity and volume of information within organisations has increased."
