Magazine and newspaper subscription service Prenax is planning to take on Swets and Ebsco in the UK academic market. The company claims it offers superior customer service and online subscription management facilities that will appeal particularly to further and higher education organisations.
Prenax has been expanding the list of print journals it offers, including adding new titles from the Institute of Physics Publishing, but admits that it is not looking to service the big regional UK consortia that negotiate most journal subscriptions for the biggest academic institutions.
