Mar. 16--The development of two proposed Ann Street restaurants was delayed Tuesday when the Montgomery City Council decided to add restrictions.

Bruster's Ice Cream and Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits, both proposed for the northwest corner of Cherry Street and Ann Street, will have to wait until after another public hearing in 30 days to find out if they will be approved by the city.

"This is what the neighborhood wants," Councilwoman Martha Roby said.
