Rinspeed Senso
Swiss madman Frank Rinderknecht has created a sensual driving experience in the Porsche Boxster-based Senso concept. Like the Toyota Pod at Tokyo in 2001, the Senso feels your pain and helps you de-stress and stay alert through biometrics. Runs on natural gas, too.
Lamborghini Concept S
As a rev-up to the Frankfurt motor show in September, Lamborghini is flashing around its final prototype for the long-overdue Gallardo Spyder. Lambo design boss Luc Donckerwolke has given the Concept S Murcielago Roadster overtones. The wind deflectors up front for the two passenger cells will not make it to production, but they look great. With the traditional near-zero rear visibility also carried over from the Murcielago Roadster, there is an electronic retractable rearview mirror for when you need to see what's behind you. Isn't that unsafe? Downright un-American? That's the whole point, compadre.
Pagani Zonda F
A rumor has been going around that Pagani is having trouble securing a future supply of 7.3-liter V12 engines from Mercedes affiliate AMG. We hope not, since Zondas are some of the finest cars in the world. This new version of the Zonda-Zonda F-is, according to Horacio Pagani, the ultimate expression of his car in honor of Argentine racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio. Power bumps up from 547 hp to 593 hp, and you can reach 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Top speed is rated at more than 214 mph.
