Hart: I've yet to warm up to the new A6's exterior shape; the old model is quite the handsome car. However, I like the interior a bit more than the old car's, as it is very comfortable and quiet. On the downside, while I think Audi's multimedia interface beats BMW's iDrive, it is still way more complicated than it needs to be. Case in point: To adjust the seat heaters, you first tap the seat-heater button, which brings up on the screen a window showing you your progress. You then spin a dial to change the temperature. The previous model had a nice thumbwheel. Simple. Easy.
The V8 power is something to appreciate, and the car's handling balance is wonderful. I found the throttle tip-in pretty abrupt, and the brakes are extremely aggressive at first hit. That can be a good thing, ...
