What memories do you have of Radio Caroline?
"I was on from midnight until 2am for the three or four months before it shut down. I realised that during that time nobody in the office or on the ship was listening, so I did away with the music policy and the news and just played records that that I'd bought back from California. The first they knew about it was when Brian Epstein, the Beatles manager, got in touch and said, 'Hey, what a great idea that programme is.' They didn't know what he was talking about, so they listened to it and obviously they weren't best pleased."
