Mar. 9--HUNTERSVILLE -- Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville leaders inked a deal Tuesday to jointly purchase and develop their first industrial park as part of their work to make north Mecklenburg more than bedroom communities.
The three towns met jointly at the site, 126-acre Brookwood property, now home to the Lake Norman Charter School. They are to share the $4 million purchase cost: Huntersville pays 60 percent, Cornelius 25 percent and Davidson 15 percent.
When the park begins producing tax revenue, the towns will share according to the same formula.
