Dairen Chemical (Taipei), a subsidiary of the Chang Chun Group (Taipei), says it is building a 350,000-m.t./year vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant at Mailiao, Taiwan. The unit will be the largest single-reactor VAM facility when it begins production next October. It will use Dairen's own technology, which the company uses at an existing 300,000-m.t./year …
