I was pleased to see ColorLines focus on the racist and reactionary neighbors of the Asian women's shelter in New York ("Locals Turn on Asian Women's Shelter," Winter 2004-05). I both know the agency and live in the neighborhood, and think that the specific example and broader implications of the organized actions against their work are lessons from which we all can learn.

However, I am troubled that the agency name and specific neighborhood of the shelter were listed in the article. One of the primary concerns of the agency was to keep the neighbors and papers ...
