SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Anyone who has watched Cal's struggling basketball team knows that Bears freshman center Jessica Lawson is the player of the future. On Saturday during the Pac-10 Conference Tournament quarterfinals at the HP Pavilion, Stanford made sure that Lawson wouldn't have an impact in the present.

On its way to an 81-40 hammering of the Bears, the Cardinal attacked Lawson whenever she was playing defense, securing a pair of fouls on her by the 12:53 mark of the first half.
